Q. Does Spiral Path Farm offer any Pick-Your-Own opportunities?
A: Yes, MEMBERS- ONLY PERK, In the beginning and middle of June for strawberries and the end of June-beginning of July for black raspberries, free of charge. Dates TBA

Q: What are Open Farm Days & Can I get extras of produce?
A: MEMBER-ONLY PERK:you may visit the farm to pick up extras for free. We are not set up to deliver extras to each delivery site each week. Spiral Path Farm is open to members only on scheduled Saturdays of each month in season June thru October. Look for specific dates in the weekly newsletter in member's box. Open Farm days give members the chance to see the fields, experience the farm, show the kids where the produce is coming from and pick up extras. Of course we are so very busy in our growing season that cannot accomodate members visiting every day of the week, so we schedule a Saturday every month.

Q: If I go on vacation, how do I deal with my box?
A: With so many members, Team Spiral is unable to keep track of everyone’s vacation times. But we can offer suggestions: Try to have a neighbor/friend/family/co-worker pick up for you. This can either be a freebie to them or work something out between each other. If you cannot find anyone to pick up your share, consider sharing it with the delivery site hosts to have for themselves or their friends/family. Be sure to call your host site first and let them know!

About Spiral Path Farm Organic Produce

Q: Can we choose which veggies are in the boxes?
A: No. We offer a variety of fresh, all-organic produce in season. Every box is packed with the same selection of produce, according to what is being harvested that week. All boxes are packed identically according to share size.

Q: What would I do with vegetables that I don't use enough of or like?
A: Many of our members have been pleasantly surprised to try our recipes with new vegetables, which they previously had never considered. If there are still some vegetables that you don’t like, you can share them with family/friends/co-workers. If there are too many vegetable dislikes on the harvest chart, Spiral Path Farm CSA may not be for you. We cannot custom pack boxes per individual tastes.

Q: Do we still need to wash the vegetables we receive from Spiral Path Farm?
A: All vegetables have been washed and sorted in the packing house. Salad Mix and bagged baby greens are triple washed and ready to eat. Some of the root crops, such as beets, carrots will probably need extra rinsing, although all are pre-washed.

Q: Do any extra vegetables go to food banks?
A: About once a week, a local Food Bank representative arrives at the farm to take produce back for distribution.

Q: Is everything on the farm organic?
A: YES, Spiral Path Farm is a 100% certified organic operation.

Q: Do you recycle boxes – is that sanitary?
A: We do re-use the boxes repeatedly. We take care to keep all of your produce safe both with organic inspections and food safety inspections. Each week we use a new plastic liner in each box. We cannot recycle these so please do not return the plastic liner.
