Green Beans, Potatoes, And Sausage

Ingredient List

1 lb smoked sausage
1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed and cut in half
½ tsp garlic salt
½ tsp soy sauce
12 ounces small red potatoes, scrubbed and quartered


Cut the sausage diagonally into ½-inch slices. Put the sausage and beans into a large pot with water to cover. Add the garlic salt and soy sauce. Bring the water to a boil, add the potatoes, and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 15-20 minutes. Depending on the type of green beans you use, the length of time you cook the potatoes and beans together could be different. You want both the beans and the potatoes to be tender but not mushy. Serve this right from the pot with bread or rolls and some sliced fresh tomatoes.
